Is it me or does a op-ed piece that has at the bottom an advert for "5 vaccines you shouldnt get", just show how ridiculous this whole thing is?

The whole attitude of Arianna Huffington towards health/pseudoscience is outrageous, and would be completely laughable if it weren't a threat to public health.

I did manage to post the Jenny song on the main thread (some torture al Qaeda thing) uncensored. How many points do I get?

Of course, this did not make it through, nor did A Wooquack's Gut
HuffPost and keeping the masses woo-centered
Huffington Post (or at least its moderators) appear to be primarily interested in disseminating information that is inaccurate and inflammatory. Jim Carrey is allowed to blog and provide his particular view of reality and the role of vaccines in autism (of course, all the while continuing to provide inaccurate information on the ingredients of vaccines), yet HuffPost won't avail itself of scientists on the cutting edge of research into autism to counter pieces like Carrey's or Kirby's. A mother who believes her three children have autism because of vaccine damage gets to be a blogger, but Huff feels no need to counter this viewpoint with any of the numerous mothers with multiple children on the spectrum or with other diagnoses who acknowledge the extreme likelihood that genetics and heritability played the lion's share in these children's disabilities/impairments.
I can think of no other reason for this than Huff Post being an ideologically driven machine with no interest in education of the masses if that creates critical thinking in the masses. After all, if people think critically, all manner of woo will no longer be supported and where will all the advertisers on Huff get their money from?

Post a new thread, with this as the opening post, in HP PseudoSci. We can get all our aggressively bad feelings towards the huffpo science section out publicly. The more public pressure on them, the more it has to make them think about their agenda. ;D
