A blogger on The Huffington Post (HUGE purveyor of pseudoscience/autism woo), as well as the managing editor of the autism woo blog, Age of Autism, Stagliano is the perfect example of the low intellect of many of the people involved in the anti-vax movement. UGH. A fine example of her low intellect, paranoia, and general idiocy, was posted by Kim in another blog on Huffpo, that of Jim Carrey, another autism woo advocate. Screenshot of Stagliano's post is below.

Any chance you have a permalink for this post of Stagliano's? I want to dissect it for a blog post, but don't want to have to retype the whole thing. :-)

It's way back in the beginning of the Carrey thread. I'll see if I can find it though.

Somehow I missed this whole string of posts. I thought the thousands of posts I read and the hundreds I responded to were bad enough, but this post of Kim and then the autism/vaccine woofolks really should be ranked right up there as on par or worse than Hydra's nonsense. I noticed Dug was in there, too. :-)

I noticed Dug was in there, too. :-) Well, it was from the first day of the thread, and the responses came so fast and furious that day, that it was easy to miss stuff. As an example, that string is on page 50. Huge number of comments on the first day or two.

:-) I knew if I tried to read all the pages of the thread, even as fast as I am, my husband and children would have mutineered. As it is, starting next week I'll be extremely limited in my free computer time. These last two weeks, I've had the justification of sitting and monitoring my online maymester course while the kids are at school. No such luck next week. The girls will get limited summer school, so most of my time when not teaching and prepping for the summer classes I've got in working with the girls on social skills training and their academic stuff so that nothing introduced the next school year will be a surprise to them. And the rest of the time will be in the garden. I'll just have to get up a little earlier and squeeze the time in. I don't see how we can sit by and let nonsense be spouted to unsuspecting parents who will be inclined to believe the loud histrionics of the anti-vax side.

I hear ya. I too have a ton of stuff to do to get ready to move when my divorce is final. But, like you, I will manage one way or another to squeeze it in most of the time. Btw, is this the smiley you asked for on your blog? Or do you need it to say something else or look different in some way?
